Online Communication. How to be precise when speaking

Online communication can be tiresome and boring, but it can also be succinct and precise - the kind that involves and convinces rather than wastes a listener’s time. Speaking remotely is not the same as speaking distantly!

We invite you to participate in this online workshop if you want to learn to speak precisely in an online environment!

Aim:  To develop the skill of precisely addressing and maintaining an audience’s attention in remote communication.

Target audience: Those who lead and participate in online meetings, perform in webinars and podcasts, or present various solutions in an online environment.

Duration of workshop: 3 x 2 hours

Work format:  lectures, answers to questions, practical tasks individually and in groups.

NB! To get maximum benefit, participants are invited to come along with their real presentations - we will work on improvements in content and visual expression during the training.

Programme:

Session 1.  Work on the content of the talk.

• How to prepare presentation content so that you are speaking succinctly and informatively, i.e. in an easily comprehensible and meaningful way;
• Work on the structure of the presentation and the formulation of the message.

 Session 2.  Work on the form of the talk.

• The background speaks as well. How should you frame yourself?;
• What should you focusing on in nonverbal communication on the screen?;
• How to maintain your connection with the public when speaking online;
• How to get in the mood for an online talk, even when you cannot see your audience;
• Exchanging experience and feedback. 

Session 3.  Practice, practice, practice!

• How to calm down before a presentation;
• Practical presentations;
• Feedback and recommendations;
• How to respond to uncomfortable questions.

The on-line seminar will take place on the Zoom platform. Ensure that your computer has a good internet connection, a camera, earphones and a microphone. The online link will be sent to you by email. Be prepared to talk and converse with others! 

If this is required at the corporate level, the programme can be adapted to the specific nature and needs of the company.
