Alvis Birkovs

Director, actor, and teacher in the psychology of the art of acting, directing and creative work. Has previously been a teacher in the skill of acting at the Faculty of Culture and Art Science at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatory.

Founder, artistic director and director of the Rīgas Jaunais teātris independent theatre. In 2018, he received the Cross of Recognition Fifth Class for special services to Latvia.

Has been collaborating with TRIVIUMS since 2022. Presents development training on topics like personality development and communication skills in the Latvian, English and Russian languages.

• Department of Drama Direction in the Faculty of Culture and Art Science at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatory.
• USSR’s highest directing courses in Marija Knēbele’s masterclass.
• Culture Employees Technical College.

• Presenting masterclasses in the psychology of the skill of acting, directing and creative work in Great Britain and Scandinavia.
• Teacher in the skill of acting in the Faculty of Culture and Art Science at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatory.
• Director of the Skill of Acting course at the Rīga Video Centre’s School of Dramatic Art.
• Founder, artistic director and director of the Rīgas Jaunais teātris independent theatre.
